Disabling 'Auto Retrieve Title Information'

Is there anyway to set the 'Auto Retrieve Title Information' for URLs to off as default? Dunno if it's just me but I love to see the URLs rather than the title tag information.

I don't think I can turn it off by default... I'll have to look into it, but you can probably set it in your own options

I haven't seen it in Edit Options. Also are avatars disabled?

I'll have to check the options / settings. I may have disabled them for users with a post count less than X .....

My main concern at the moment is getting active members up.. ie. attracting more of them. Any ideas welcome

That's surely the hardest part of starting any community, I know myself. Have you visited http://www.theadminzone.com/ a great place to discuss communities. Have learned many a golden nugget from there myself.

I asked the vbseo developers about the titles "issue" and have asked them to consider it for a future release.....

For the moment please disable it when you post if you don't want it to appear.

I think I'll make custom avatars available to a user group which I will vet manually - I just need to figure out how to do that properly

Basically I'll create something like "Irish web pro" as a group and anyone in it can have a custom avatar and maybe other things as I tweak settings etc.,

I forgot to mention - that usergroup now exists.
Just request membership - you may want to PM me when you have, as I'll probably forget to add you otherwise (one of the downsides to multitasking - you keep thinking you've done things, when all you've done is thought about it)
