How about a compromise?
I can easily setup a subforum for beta sites ie. ones that you don't want Google indexing and make it semi-private so that Google et al won't be able to index it
Just an idea, is it possible to have the Site Reviews / Announcements forum hidden until you login for the simple fact that a lot of people post reviews of beta sites which aren't live and may not be live for a good bit. Then comes along Google who lists the sites it finds, (i know this is not IWF fault) but it just looks unprofessioanl if someone goes to google and finds a half written/development stage site and they'l prob. never go back.
Just an idea!

Sounds good to me ... I'd normally post in a members only forum if I was looking for feedback on a WIP
