Regarding 'Uniqueness'
I love how on a lot of message boards the senior posters can get pissed off with people, generally newbies, when they post common threads that have being answered a million times before...

So where is the search box on the forums? Generally it's hidden under a search link in the main nav instead of being in the top right corner or similarly positioned. I can never understand why search is hidden on Vbulletin.

I'm not saying there is a problem on this board with senior folk but boards in general aren't built for searching, they're built for new conversations. So if you're going to bring in this FLUMP approach you're going to have to surface the search box. I'm not sure how good VB's search is either. I think it puts results in chronological order rather than relevancy. Google Custom Search can be monitored too so that's probably a more viable option if your primary factor is search relevancy.

Shoving a Google custom search box somewhere prominent like under the main navigation bar wouldn't be an issue
