| I'd heard really good things about it a few months ago, meant to install it but haven't got round to it yet. Does it end up overwriting your current settings at all or can the two versions live together ?

| From what I can see it replaces previous versions when installed, but it keeps all your bookmarks, history, add ons etc. It does warn that some add ons may need updates. I'm using this on my home system to take it for a spin before completely committing to it, but it all looks good so far. Edit: Yeah from what I have installed on this Google toolbar and a couple of web dev add ons aren't supported so I wouldn't update on a work pc just yet. Last edited by Tom; 09-01-2008 at 02:12 AM. |

| I'll update my admin machine tomorrow  or maybe just bang it onto a VM .. though I may not notice the full speed increase running it through a VM |

| I was playing with it on my linux desktop a while back. Since it was installed on the desktop it didn't replace the default install, but it did make a bit of mess of cookies etc.,

| Problem with upgrading is that not all addons work with the new version AFAIK. I'll install on my test laptop alongside IE6 for play purposes and leave my development machine on v2. I spotted v3 popping up in some website stats recently so there's a couple of people using it.
