| The Vostro's in general are amazing value, I've recommended them to countless people.

| Yep I'm very happy with the V1700 I got recently. The only problem I have with it is the return key which if I don't hit just right it doesn't register, annoying when it happens but I hope if I train myself into hitting it a certain way I'll be grand, otherwise I might pull it off |

| I've got 3 vostros for a few family members. Every single one of them had one major problem, that I just figured out now after returning each of them at least once. For some odd reason, the machine would refuse to turn on. No pwer seemed to be getting to the system, even though the adapter was working. Changing batteries on each of them showed that there was also nothing wrong with the batteries. Each time the dell engineer came out, he was baffled too and resorted to changing the motherboard (yes the motherboard) which seemed to do the trick... However, it turns out that it is in fact a problem with the battery. Basically it becomes slightly dislodged with heavy movement - just pop it out and pop it back in and they run fine again. Bit annoying though! |
