| Well it looks like I could be moving to dublin in the not too distant future ... Having never really lived anywhere else (apart from a month or two here and there) anyone got any tips on moving to the big city Was looking at rental prices in dublin already last night and damn there is a big difference between galway and dublin Anyone got any recommendations for "start up" offices ? (shared office type things)

| You could try the Digital Hub, I know you can rent some space there for pretty cheap. This all depends on how long your setup though. Also have a look here, they might be able to help you out! Best of luck!

I'm gonna guess they'd be too pricey given its prime location ... still will enquire none the less |

| What can I say about Dublin. Everything will be more expensive If you want general living tips. I moved to Rathmines / Christchurch area simply because it was close to the city and transport. Living along the Luis Line will help. I don't have / need a car at the moment which saves me money. Rent is damn expensive (infact ridiculous) if you ask me. Makes me want to go back home to Australia at times. I save money on food each week by going to the Meath Street market and buying fruit / veg / meat down there. I'm sure there are other markets. I'm gonna stick my neck out a bit and say that living in the South is nicer than the North (yeah I know South Vs North) but I find the South is prettier and less troublesome. All I can think of for now. |

| cheers for the advice / tips ... If the Luas wasn't there it'd really make me think twice ... I hate buses with a passion (that said I shouldn't say that cus of 1 or 2 of my clients) I'm aware dublin is a lot pricier ... I just hadn't actually realised just how much pricier it is ... rent at the moment looks to be nearly double what we're paying and the places a LOT smaller ... The price of a pint won't affect me that much I think as I'm rarely out ... and I'll get used to Guinness up there We've got a place to crash in for a month or two but its in the north .. and not ideal / where we really want to be. Its not paris ... but its bigger than any place I've lived before so its probably gonna be a big change for me. Still should be cool to be able to make more meetups without it taking the best part of a day in travel. |
