yeh, I ordered the Eircom Home Plus 2mb package, got it installed a week ago and its 3mb. Downloading over 300k/s. Sweeeet!!!

I *wish* I could have broadband... stuck on 56k here, lol

I am using onSpeed as well though which does speed things up a bit.

Yeah, it works pretty well, but don't expect miracles. It's perfect for me, I mainly read forums and content websites, so I turn the picture quality down to the worst quality possible. You basically do all of your browsing through a proxy which compresses everything for you before sending it to your PC, where it is unpacked again.

It definitely makes a difference, but if you want pretty pictures, mp3 downloads or videos it's worthless.

Intriguing.. I haven't had to use 56k for a while, thankfully, so I tend to forget what lengths people have to go to
