| Not sure if the title got your attention, but after Googling for an answer again I got this terrible website. Experts Exchange - The #1 resource on the web for solving technology problems.. Why do I hate the? Quite simple really, they claim to have your answer then present you with a paid membership only page! Here is an example: Layout issures between IE6 and IE7. : ie7, ie6, between So I decided to see if others hated the same website. I won't tell you what I googled exactly Rusty Razor Blade » Blog Archive » Experts Exchange should be removed from Google search results I tend to agree with the article that Google should place less importance on pages like this. The whole concept of the web is freedom of information! Anyway I'll end rant there, anyone else wanna contribute? |

| The title did I have to agree and its highly annoying. Seems a lot of people have the same view on it, except Google. |
| ||||
| What's the issue? That they trick you into signing up for the answer (that is already on the same page, just further down)? Lots of sites use tricks like this to get users to subscribe. This may be more extreme, granted. However Google blocking them seems extreme. I've found many solutions from EE (via Google). You just have to scroll down further. Something I'm happy to do given that it has often saved me a lot of time. Or is it something completely different?!

| Ugh I hate that website, I must have visited it (and left quickly!) about 10 times over the last two days. Seems you can view the answers in Google cache but quite frankly I'd rather read the info I'm looking for on another website. |
| ||||
| There's a few other high profile sites that I can think of that do the same thing and Google just turns a blind eye. They are just as annoying as that site. |
| ||||
| It's never been otherwise (since EE started pushing the subscription service) any I visited anyway. Anyhoo, I don't understand what they're doing wrong here (other than being annoying). |
| ||||
| Doesn't make for a good user experience. Search engines see one page, the user sees a signup page. |
