Default knol - Google wikipedia?
Anyone had a chance to check out Knol: a unit of knowledge yet, looks like a useful article directory rather than the Wikipedia "killer" that it has been touted as being.

Adsense ads allowed for a revenue share with Google, links out don't seem to be "nofollowed" so that could be useful

Funny a knol I wrote as an experiment in August got a PR3 by the looks of it in weekend PR update.

I already heard about this Google's project named Knol. Knols are authoritative articles about specific topics, written by people who know about those subjects. It will encourage the people to contribute their knowledge online and make it accessible to everyone. It was the great effort of the Google.

Knol encourage the people to contribute their knowledge to the society. In this people can submit comments, questions, edits, additional content, and so on. Anyone will be able to rate a knol or write a review of it. Knols will also include references and links to additional information. At the discretion of the author, a knol may include ads. If an author chooses to include ads, Google will provide the author with substantial revenue share from the proceeds of those ads.
