Looking to pick a few of yer brains... Looking at upgrading my digital camera, currently have a Fuji 3.5 Mega Pixel. While its doing the job ok, its quality is not the best. What I would be using it for is mostly photos and images to include on the sites I develop, shots of buildings, people, scenery etc. The usual type pictures you would see on standard websites. So any suggestions of makes and models? What type of camera do you use for your web development?

Do you want a full SLR or something more compact? TBH I've found my N95's camera to be pretty good for basic shots, but I also have a T9 and a full size SLR. My main problem with the SLR was lugging it around the place ...

The Cybershot T9 that I have (or more precisely, my sister has purloined) doesn't seem to be around anymore, but I think this one is the replacement: Cyber shot DSC W170 silver

it gets good reviews, but fluck me, it can be broken easily... Sold 3 over the summer... one was faulty out of the box, one was returned because it dropped off a couch - in bits. The other one, was sold to a "loud" customer so the fact that we havent had any complaints means it's good.

| I'd probably say get one of the cybershots ... based on friends recommendations but that was a year or two ago but the quality was great .... These days you're really spoilt for choice Whatever you do ... head on over to Digital Camera Reviews and News: Digital Photography Review: Forums, Glossary, FAQ to read some reviews of it. I'm in the market for a dSLR .. though I'm probably going to just go with something along the lines of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28: Digital Photography Review which should be a good inbetween ground between the point and click I've got (Olympus ... oldish C-500 ) and a proper dSLR

My wife got me a little Sony one for my birthday, and it's brilliant. Very compact, and good quality too. The main thing I've noticed is that the delay seems to be gone - it really does seem as quick to take a photo as a non-digital camera.
