Submitted a blog post to Digg and it got about 450 diggs, completely goosed my server. Timing out on requests for static pages even. Digg is very powerful

If you have root access to the machine you could probably get it up and running by tweaking apache's settings ....

It's just 2 youtube videos of a martial arts expert. I doubt I'll get any links off it, it just cost me money. But theres stories over at a blackhat forum of people gaming digg and getting loads of IBL.

This episode has convinced me to switch hosts, I've got reports of timeouts before from users (its the same server as my ringtones site). I'm paying $189 for P4 2.4 Ghz, 1GB Ram, 80gb ram, I can do better.

It sounds like an Apache issue. Just tweak the config.

The hosting provider isn't at fault
