Default 5 Adsense blocks with Google Ad Manager

Just wondering if anyone is using Google Ads manager? If so are you able to serve more than 3 Adsense blocks? I am seeing 5 Adsense blocks on the one page with my site. First time I have ever seen this and just wondering if anyone knows about this?

Ain't started using it yet - but it sounds great.

Not sure that 5 ad blocks on a page is really necessary though!

Its not necessary as the more you display the more chance you'll start displaying low paying adverts.

Wouldn't that depend a lot on positioning?

Yeah that does come into it. The first ads in the page code will be the highest paying ads as far as I remember.

true, confirmed by google themselves. So you can use CSS to your advantage to make sure that your most prominent AdSense block is the one that is called first in your HTML code.

Yup I use CSS to position them on my sites.

Can you not have as many Adsense blocks as Ad slots? In which case you can have as many as you like.

Ad Manager Help Center - What's the maximum number of ad slots I can use?

It shouldn't as the Adsense policies only allow for 3 units. So this must be a way to by pass that rule.
