Notice the Google AdWords on the right hand side of the page.

It seems like they've changed their design somewhat.

Is this kind of thing allowed?

They must be a premuim publisher. When you get to premuim status, I have heard you get an account manager an are allowed to style your ads differently to blend in more. Take Digg for instance.

Thing is, I doubt this publisher is premium from this site alone.

didn't they (Google) introduce changes to the adsense units this week? Rounded and squared corners or something?

Perhaps some connection?
