Default Google and back links
How long does it take Google to start weighting a site based on its back links? I'm just curios as Google seems to have indexed my own site but there aren't any back links associated with it - although they do show up on my Google Webmaster Tools.

Do the back links on Webmaster Tools mean that the site has been weighted accordingly by now or do I need to wait until they appear on Google search?

it will take a good while before they will show up.
Google likes to see the back links still there after a certain period of time before you get the credit for them and has to be related to your website profile as well.

The links shown in the GWT are a combination of "link" and "contain the term" results, so some may never show up in a "normal" link search....

the link:domain.com search type in Google never shows all the data they have
I would say that is probably less than 25% of what Google has about the domain and I think there is a good reason for it.

Your links wont ever really show up using the link: operator.
GWT gives a much better view, but it is only updated at G's whim, and the data cant be relied on completely (it also includes nofollow links which have no value).

Well it will take at least 3 -4 months , google takes some time coz there are hell lot sites which register daily...
