 Most important page out of Google index Ok, I looked high and low to find out what the hack is going on. One of my websites (more than 5 years old) has pages in Google and ranks very well for certain keywords. Last week I noticed one of my very important page is not indexed any longer for some reason. I checked duplicated content - found nothing I logged into the webmaster central - no messages checked back-links - nothing unusual haven't done link building for a long time now haven't touch the page for the least 3 months The website still ranks in the SERPS so I don't think is a penalty The only thing left is to figure out if the page has been "Bowling via Proxy" but I will say is too early . Any ideas guys? Don't ask for link as you are not going to get it...

| sorry dave - i love to tell you but can not. glengara - yes and I am aware of that but not this one. Is like loosing the home page out of the index which for one I never seen it yet. |

| Never seen G lose an index page? In that case you may find some of these threads reassuring :-) missing index page - Google Search |

If it had been proxied out you'd see the proxy page in it's place. Weird things happen with Google. But if you cant give the URL I doubt anyone will be able to help you. Rgds Richard

| It's too early Richard for the page to show up if it was proxied. The page only disappeared few days ago (5-7). I'll be waiting few more days before I could conclude my theory and hopefully I could have something to say. |
