Default Weird XP/Google issue

Another family member shares the computer I use. Both have own log-in accounts on Windows XP - for example Him, Her. When Him does a Google search using keywords related to my website Google returns the site at No.2. Hooray!
When Her does a similar search....Google returns the site at No. 15. We use same browser (IE Explorer) and same preferences.

Him is getting 1,490,000 results
Her is getting 1,430,000 results

Do 'Him' and 'Her' have different IP addresses? Him seems to be getting Irish results but does not have 'Pages from Ireland' selected. (Neither does She) When Him does select 'Pages from Ireland' there is a vastly reduced number of results offered by Google and site remains at No.2

Advice gratefully received.

Are you logged into iGoogle or something similar at the time ? G will notice that you go to certain sites, and will move the, up in your 'personal' rankings.

Thanks Paul! You pointed me in the right ( and now obvious) direction.
IE Explorer sends 'Him' to Google.ie but sends 'Her' to Google.com
Don't know why this is as we have the same preferences selected. Must go investigate! Ed

I'll tell you a strange one as well.
For a certain phrase, I rank in Google #2, but if I log into AdSense and do the search again for the same phrase I rank #1, both searches using google.ie

This is happening for the last few weeks. must be something to do with the geo location algorithm.
