Default G warning on Url rewrite

Google Says Don't Rewrite Dynamic URLs

Moral of the story seems to be -

" We see too many examples of webmasters shooting themselves in the foot by installing some so-called "SEF/SEO-Module" on their site, which makes algorithimcally understanding a website close to impossible.
If we are to give a general recommendation, we would have to say that it is better to stick with dynamic URLs."

What ever happened to making sites for users first and bots second?
That is probably the most ridiculous statement I have ever read from Google in my life.

You'd expect it to be Google's responsibility to penalise sites it feels are taking inappropriate advantage over SEF URLS rather than to tell webmasters to serve up dynamic URLs because it's easier for their bots. Jasus.

(love the URL of the blog post on blogger too!)

Funny post on their part but yet confusing as hell. Gotta love Google on their flip flop mindset.

Wonder if Mr Cutts will chime in now.

I've seen warnings in the Google Webmaster tools about the number of redirects / rewrites - it doesn't seem to like them!

Default Keep rewriting em.

We are google, we are cleverer that you!

They're basically saying if you are worried you might mess it up, then don't bother, we'll do it.

It seems their delivery of words in this case was not the best...

Keep rewriting them anyway.

Rewritten URLs convert better and there are (or may in the future be) other search engines besides the big G.

Google seems to forget the visitors here which should be their top priority. I don't rewrite urls for seo and googlebot (maybe just a little). I do it for my visitors.
