Any links to the website ?
If you don't submit it, or if there isn't any links to it, then it would be virtually impossible for google to find it.
my sites :irish poker / irish jobs / seo faq / advertise jobs free / green card / skiing
So the answer is
I suggest that you research on Google itself on how to improve you sites chances of appearing on Google search. Download Google Toolbar and see how your page ranks at the moment and work on improving your page rank (not the be all and end all but one of many indicators of success in placement).
- If you didn't submit it - Never
- If you did submit - Possibly never (or on Page 200000 of the search).
Try here Webmaster Tools Tour for a start for more information for your site the Google webmaster tasks are what you should be doing at a minimum. If Google placement is something you want to work on then look on this forum as there are a lot of posts on how to improve site placement. Might even read them myself someday - LOL

Depends really what search you expect/want to show for? Your website name, an obscure term or a competitive term. Google are spidering/ranking new sites a lot quicker than even 12 months ago but as the other guys have mentioned you need to throw a few decent links at the site. If its a .ie domain try and get a few Irish based links. Personally wouldn't bother submitting it if you can get some links.
Yea, you really need to start building a few links. This is a good starting point http://www.cubeonlinemarketing.ie/li...ebdirectories/. Chances are you will rank considerably well for the website name itself soon enough, but competitive terms can take a serious amount of time and effort. Best of luck anyway.

Google will index domains / sites almost as quickly as they appear, but won't do a whole lot with them unless they are active and have inbound links
thanks for all the help
You want to give us the web address Jimparkster? If its of interest and a decent site you never know some of the people on this forum may fire you a link or two...
