Probably unrelated, but see Lets Host - Irish Web Hosting, IE domains, Hosting Ireland - HOME are now hosting from Digiweb's datacentre and offering Irish hosting for the first time...

I guess it boils down to whether you want a specialised hosting provider, or a telco/broadband company.
