Enzo, just out of curiosity, is the site in your sig one of yours? I remember visiting that site years ago when I was starting out in college and got some good tips from it!!

As to your query on a Mentor, I'd have to agree with the above replies, but maybe not so much that people just wouldn't want to do it. I'd imagine it's more of a case of someone who's that competent and successful will just be too busy to worry about spending a few hours here and there trying to teach someone.

It's a good idea, and would be a great way to learn (fair play to you for asking!) but unfortunately it's just not practical.

By the way, if it's the business end of things you are more interested in learning, maybe have a look a this book/kit from Sitepoint.

SSI-Developer is my (somewhat outdated) personal site ... seriously needs a new coat of paint and lots of new content which I never seem to get around to doing. I'll probably post the new template here soon enough if you want to give your opinion?


I sort of thought of it as taking on a 'junior' designer to help with projects but paying with knowledge rather than cash.
