Server Side Web Developer

We have a once off project for which we require a web developer. We require the web developer to develop the server side of the website and also to work with another developer in developing the front end of the website.
Web Site Functionality:


  • Hold up to 50,000 users concurrently
  • Each user has a profile page which has 5 pages and the user can easily change the layout, text and images. And also add a google map
  • Search with ability to filter and sort results
  • Message board
  • Experience developing facebook apps would be beneficial
The successful candidate will be provided with a more detailed description.

Role & Responsibilities


  • To ensure that each of the stages of the website is completed on time·
  • Responsible for the delivery of each of the server side elements of the website·
  • To work with others on other areas of the website·
  • Ensure your work is well documentedIdea Candidate
  • Minimum of 3-4 years work experience
  • Mastery of PHP, MySQL/InnoDB, Database design and query optimisation
  • To bring new ideas to the project
  • Well versed in code optimisation and web site optimisation (post loading javascript, external scripts blocking etc), and have a passion and demonstrated experience in web developmen
  • Excellent analytical and programming skills
  • Fluent in English
General
This is a once off project for which a fixed fee will be paid. There will be the need for your services after the project is completed but it will not be a full time position.
