Personally I don't think it needs to be different as such. You just need to provide a decent user experience. This site doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to be looking nor how to run a tailored search. Take it from someone who already runs a property site - it's a tough niche to be in and a bad time to be in it.

The site needs indeed more work as it seems everything is kind of all-over-the-place, but I wish you good luck with it.

"Build it and they will come." doesn't work for websites, you need a bit more than that.
