Any have any opinions on the new apple laptop design? New features are kind of thin on the ground but I like the new screens.

I can't really justify upgrading mine just yet![]()
their expensive ****ing things either way, and I'm happy with my windows.
You can't sell operating systems just on the "no viruses" aspect.
All the same, Apple have done a few things today, both behind the scenes and on the stage. One behind the scenes issue that they fixed was in regard to graphic chips, and I really do feel sorry for nVidia.
By the way, I think the new laptops are really nice now, and the design improvements are brilliant. Kudos to Apple.

I work in a computer shop, and when you have someone jammy and rich coming into the shop. The "no viruses" aspect is the biggest selling point I've seen really.
yah, sure, it's a brilliant interface, I use Macs for at least 10 hours every week, and sometimes up to 30 hours per week. i know exactly what they're like.
But from my experience, 'word of mouth' and 'no viruses' and 'no blue screen' and 'quick startup / shutdown' - are thee major selling points for Mac. Occasionally when I get someone technology intelligent or a graphic artist, movie editor, etc. into the shop, we can actually start talking about the actual effective good things, brilliant things, that are Mac OSx.
But whether people, microsoft, & apple like it or not, when people are buying Macs, there will always be a 'comparison war'.
Oh baby! I had a proper look at the new MBPs.....yaYummie.
I totally want to use that wear-resistant etched glass trackpad. There is no clicker button thing on it on it either!
Apple's keyboards are amazingly refreshing to use. I have my MB about two years so I'll probably jump for a MBP in 12 months time. All I have to do now is to convince one of mates to buy a new MBP...The first thing you might notice — or not notice — is the missing click button. Now the entire trackpad is the button, so you can click anywhere. Without a separate button, your hands have 39 percent more room to move on the large, silky glass surface. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Rotate an image with your fingertips. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Swipe with four fingers to show your desktop, view all open windows, or switch applications. If you’re coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.
Shiat, that's a nifty feature about the mice. ****ing brilliant!
I guess they'll turn up in the refurb store eventually![]()
I'm already looking to get a MBP. I've had a MB for past 6 months or so to try it out and see if I like them and defo think it's time to go for a MBP and really get into design/development on it.
I'd say I'd add on one of their 24" displays that are launching next month, giving a real desktop feel while still having mobility. The cost of all that luxury though - c. 3k in total. I do have a buyer for my MB though and I've a bit of money saved up especially for this sort of thing!![]()

These are lighter and have better graphics card They are introduced on the Macbook Air (Sexy). They are all a bit thinner with better graphics cards, processors, and a new all glass touchpad with 4-finger multi-touch gestures.
