Default Where should I be looking for backlinks?
From some research I think I need websites linking back to me to get a better page rank in google, where should I be looking?
my site is irishmobile.ie, online store

Do links out from my site count for anything?

Don't concentrate too much on page rank, I think the key is to get links from relevant sites in your area.

Google cares about who links to who. So back links matter when it comes to google, your links to someone will count to them. You should start with finding sites and blogs like your own. Find blogs that talk about phones, mobiles, bluetooth, skype, voip and post comments with your url. That should get you alot of back links after a while.

Most blogs use "nofollow" on comments, so I don't see how they count

I dont use nofollow, and I know a lot of others that do either. Do you?

I don't, but the default behaviour on most blog platforms is to use "nofollow" on comments

I dont as i developed the blog and comment system myself for my site. Is it advisable to use?

Going on that theroy do you think there's any way Nokia and LG would link back to my site

Well if I can get a link on MSDN Home Page then I dont think you should have a problem, you just need to figure out a sneeky way. Have a look at the attached image
