Default Competitive Analysis Tools - Hitwise, Compete? Cheaper Alternative?

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to put together a competitive analysis here at work for our primary competitors in the hope it will kick start some action around here and get everyone onto the Analytics bandwagon .

I know Hitwise can get some fantastic data, but it comes at a fairly hefty price. Compete.com seems good, but it appears to be US based data.

Is there anyway I can dig up the same kind of data for Irish Based sites?

I want to know how many hits their getting and for what keywords

Anyone have an agreement with Irish ISP's for their log data?

Cheers,
Gavin.

They also offer bespoke reports for a fraction of the sub cost. Around $500 for any given site. No Irish data however, and heavily skewed toward B2C and C2C.

The privacy implications of log data are quite scary ...

Of course a lot of ISPs wouldn't even hold onto DNS logs as they are simply too big
