Thumbs up Double Click - About to launch a website...

    Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of building a new website, which I am hoping will be successful, due to the unique market I'm targeting. As much as I detest advertising on websites (or should I say too much advertising) I am considering running some ads on the website.

My previous experience with Adsense is not that great, then again though I have been running it on a popular but relatively small website for a very small market.

I am considering using double click. I am wondering what others experiences are with double click from a publisher POV.

    Feedback welcome!

    Cheers,
    Gavin.

Gav, if you're going the CPM route, you are going to need some SERIOUS traffic. 10k-20k uniques a day wont be worth your time. If you are dead set on CPM, Tribal Fusion has without a doubt got the best rates but they are very difficult to get "into".

Ad for adsense, the majority of publishers would do themselves the world of good by forgetting about it completely.

Have you tried sourcing advertising privately?

No, but I am definitely going to consider it. Adsense and similar set up's take way too much of the pie for my liking. First I need to establish the site, so I'll see how we go.
