I know it's been mentioned in and out of threads here but I'd like to discuss the impact that people think that Website Optimizer - Adwords - Google will have on their marketing efforts.

I do not think many people understand how much of a big deal this tool actually is. I have discussed split testing here before, and while split testing has been in the realm of many companies, multi variant Taguchi Method testing services have been so extortionately priced, it has remained the tool available only to the big players.

Multivariate Testing and A/B Split Test System and Offermatica: Hosted A/B testing, multivariate testing, and landing page optimization tools for marketers are (Were) the big players in this game. So what of them now?

Do you plan to use this tool and if so, how will this new tool effect your business?

Hi, nice spot. I'm going to examine this in more detail later on, but in a gist this tool allows you to determine which version of page (different content, sales blurbs etc.) performs the best over a period of time.

Is this linked in to adwords or standalone.

I don't know. I signed up for the beta at the first mention of it in my feeds. Still no reply from Google though.

I just got my invite mail from Google regarding this. I have checked my account and MY GOD this is a powerful tool. I am very very pleased to be part of the beta.

As advised by Google, I will start off with a small campaign with only a few variations and a few variations OF variations to check the results. Assuming it uses the Taguchi method,
and the level of traffic I have to some of my sites, this should not be long.

I will post full details of my experience shortly.

And the bit I like is that it will test for all your traffic not just Adwords.

This might be just the incentive I need to actually do a bit on the PPC side

I am actually more concerned about using it for my natural traffic. Multi variant testing is a very powerful tool.

The whole point of using this tool is to have the absolutely best possible landing page ready to go BEFORE you go ahead and start using PPC advertising.

So far, I am still trying to get my head around this tool. It's pretty complex and it looks like I'll have to wait for a few weeks to gather enough information.
