Leads me to suspect that it's not respecting the demographic settings I specified.

Before the switch over, the ads were very good value for money considering the low bounce rate I was getting and the ability to select demographics. Now I'm wondering...

Made a bit of money off them in August and September, I did a bit of testing on 8 ad variations and then after 4 days I picked the best one, and ran that for about 6 weeks. Worked out well enough, better than AdSense.

The reason I reduced my ads number back to just 1 was because I would be bidding against my other ads. Also I only wanted people to click one of these ads (and sign up once). I would recommend CPC rather than CPM.

My ROI was about 5 times higher than that of my AdSense run for similar ads.

Thing to remember about facebook is that they still cannot restrict your ads from appearing against profiles you don't want your brand associated with. (BNP etc)

Which isn't a big deal for small companies, but anyone with a big brand to worry about it's a hassle you don't need.

We've advertised on Facebook for serveral months and I'm not entirely sure it's worth it. It's a younger crowd and they're not searching for you.

That said, we had a few clients whose sons/daughters had put them on to us via the ad.
