I upgraded a few of my personal sites, but we are holding off on touching any of the business ones for now..

I upgraded and had no problems [so far].
My only gripe is the new editor. It seems to be a case of foisting something on us that they think we need rather than there being a demand for it. Having said that, I have been using Gutenberg since August and am sort of used to it now, but it is going to cause a lot of confusion. They really should have developed it as an optional plugin, rather than setting it as the default. I know they developed the "Classic Editor" plugin but that is doing things backways.

I've heard similar complaints from a number of people

How do you like it?
Personally I've found it very good for handling multimedia, but a little bit confusing with basic things like adding tags to posts.

Out of ten I would give it a four. My main complaint is that everything seems to require more steps. For example reformatting a block is not very intuitive and requires a knowledge of where the "reformat" lies, whereas in the past it was just a case of highlighting a paragraph and clicking one button. It took me an age to discover how to align an image beside text -> a separate block type! There are still some things I haven't discovered yet - how to change the text colour of just a couple of words in a paragraph for example, where it insists on changing the entire block.

For the likes of myself who just bang out reams of text it's not too bad. For those who like multimedia and the like it's possibly good. For those who have just gotten used to the old editor it's going to be very confusing I would imagine.

Thanks - that's helpful
Did you have any issues with plugins or themes? I was expecting more breakage, but haven't seen much so far .. though I haven't had a chance to test every single thing yet either :)

No issues, or if there are I either haven't noticed them or they are extremely unimportant [same thing, I suppose].

I use the same theme nearly everywhere - Weaver Extreme. It's extremely versatile and fully 5 compliant.
