Default Msn indexing

My site went live in the last week of '06. I was indexed by msn on 1st Jan. Whilst yahoo/google are crawling on a regular basis, I havnt seen msn since (or askjeeves - although i am not so concerned about that).

Is this normal with msn?

Could it have found stuff it didnt like on the first visit that resulted in it not coming back?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I've had sites get indexed by all the search engines from the "go live" date and others have been practically ignored for months at a time

I'd focus on ethical seo and hopefully MSN bot will notice you ...

I've got MSN all over the website, sometimes having like 10 crawlers at one time but the number of pages spidered is very small compare with google and yahoo.

eg:
Google: Results 1 - 10 of about 7,340
Yahoo: Pages (5,518) | Inlinks (8,601)
MSN: Page 1 of 225 results

while the hits from them are:
MSNBot3022+95282.96 MB
Googlebot29462+71173.99 MB
Inktomi Slurp11640+209179.00 MB

msnbots come back a couple of times since I posted. Also, I have added an .xml sitemap which should make things more bot friendly.

I suppose I just need to be patient.

TBH I doubt you'll get many visitors from Live!

I certainly wouldn't be too worried
