Dos anyone know of companies that offer link building services ?

I mean a decent company here in Ireland or UK.

I would love to outsource this if I could find someone. I seem to have exhausted all my known methods - and wish I could offer something more to several clients.

You hear this phrase 'link building strategy' all over the place ... well, if there is someone out there who has a few tricks (legitimate ones) up their sleeve - I'll happily pay for the service.

or if anyone knows of any other resorces or information , please say.

I'm yet to come across a company offering that service specifically, but judging by some of the submission trends on search.ie there are definitely companies offering it as part of their SEO / marketing

2bscene are excellent and might be worth talking to (they're also on this forum as well)

Yes, I believe 2bscene are highly recomended. I hadn't contacted them because I myself wouldn't be particuarly interested in promoting someone elses client - so I didn't think it would realy appeal to them.

As far as the search.ie , LOL , I hope you didn't get the hump when you got 100 submissions from me over a few days. back in january I think. I had a lad in here submitting all my clients to over 40 portals - it may have seemed like spamming, but in fact was completely legitimate.

I have a list of about 40 portals relevant to Irish business - I'll whack it in a text file & post the url here later in case anyone wants to do that.

I had spoken with another developer about putting together a comprehensive list between us - but some people rather keep these things to themselves.

At this stage I am looking for something beyond portal submissions.

It should also be noted that a link on a portal will not necessarily improve page rank. Many portals link to you via cgi, and I would be supprised if google takes any notice of that.

As long as the submissions are valid I don't mind at all.
What bugs me is when you get a load of really terrible ones.

I have noticed a lot of sites use http://www.linksmanager.com/

Maybe useful for a long term link stratagy, it's in the US so not local.
