| I've been playing around with my latest acquisition, but I'm not convinced that the title tags are going to work. Any recommendations? The current ones are: Free Technical Support - Technical Chat - Mobile Devices - Gadgets

I think first of all having Technical support and technical chat so close to together might be to high for density in your title. I would try something like Free Technical support | tech solutions | mobile technology advice | Gadgets that's all i could come up with before my meeting's |

| You're going to have to get in 'PC' ,'Computer' and 'Forum' in there as well somewhere. (imo) My personal choice would be "We are a free technical support forum for PC's, software, mobile technology, windows/apple/linux systems, mobile gadgets and all manner of computer related devices." I don't like page titles which are too SEO focused and not focused enough on the user, hense putting in the 'We are a' bit first. Last edited by Cormac; 15-03-2007 at 10:35 AM. |

I do agree with you, people buy real people. I guess I am so use to been in an E-commerce mind set that I forget to step outside the box. |

| I'd use your own keywords, something like "technical support forums covering hardware and operating systems to networking and handheld devices". I'd also have some page text that expands a bit on the title, your pages are a bit light there, IMO... |

| I just wonder if using the phrase "technical support" is helpful. "get help with computers" might be a bit better?

| Technical support is a far better search term than get help with computers, plus the domain is techsupportboards. Geting help with computers is only going to attract grannys. |

| I suppose calling it 'Tech Support Forums' or 'Tech Support Board' is out of the question? Personally I think that the title should relate closely to what people actually search for. If users are cute enough to type 'tech support' or 'technical support' into Google (and they are judging by the figures I just looked at) then why wouldn't they click on a result with that title in the SERPs? I'm not too fond of converting with the page title - I know it can help, but I think the snippet is the better place to do it. BTW rough guestimates 'get help with computers' -> negligable volume 'tech support' || 'technical support' -> ~12k per month. 'computer technical support' -> ~12k with far less competition

| It is effective too if you put some of your keywords in your title because some spiders in SE will easily find your site and may consider it more relevant than the other site. |
