Forum signatures do play an important role in SERPs. But i do have a query regarding forum posting.

Case A: Participating in 40 forums and posting 10 posts in a month/each forum = 400 posts in 1 month
Case B: Participating in 5 forums and posting 5 posts a day in each forum = 5X5X30 =750 posts in 1 month

In which case, the forum posting would be better to result in higher SERP? Please do not consider the number of posts into consideration.

Please do suggest me ..... Thanx in advance.

TBH, going to 5 forums and getting involved more with the community is better than going to 40 forums and just posting for the sake of posting.

Generally - People visit sig. links from posters that have either helped them directly (answering questions) - Are prominent and prolific posters on the forum, or the sig is really eye catching. - but if everyone on the forum has flashy banners and 'attractive' links in their sig, people generally ignore all of them.

It depends on what you're trying to "pimp" i suppose. That's from a "human" point of view.

As for search engines - i'd be inclined to think that having links on 40 sites is better? I can't say i've experimented with stuff like that.

For SEO, having multiple anchor text from the 40 DOMAINS is better. But for branding and reputation, being involved in the community is better.

    Roger that Redfly,
Ireland is tiny, and most commerce is community driven. Else, is a question of timing, perhaps.
