Default PageRank 6 to 0?

hey guys, I know it sometimes happens that PR can drop and it just to be a glitch or something, but yesterday my site (Micromail - Homepage - Software Licensing - Computer Books - Windows Vista - Office 2007) dropped from a PR 6 on its main page to a PR 0. It then went back to a PR 6 for a while and now its stuck on PR 0 again. Every other page in the site has gone to PR 0 aswell and although im sure its nothing to worry about its starting to unnerve me a little now. Thankfully we're still being indexed and our SERPS havent been effected, but I cant think what could have gone wrong. Ive checked multiple datacentre sites and they all list the page as PR 0 with the exception of one or two who list it as a 6. And im guessing its not a PR update so whats gone wong? Any help much appreciated!

Weird alright. I wouldn't be worried as site: and link: still show stuff. And your site doesn't look like one that would get banned. Some glitch I suppose

Dig Pagerank in 700+ datacenters true it's showing PR0, but there is a current PR update due, so there might be some instability. I remember seeing youtube showing 0 before.

Do check in https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview to see if your site has any notices or errors. See here

Im hoping its a PR update, seems a few others are having the same problem, check out Google PageRank has disappeared - Crawling, indexing, and ranking | Google Groups#, I submitted a sitemap this week so hope thats not causing the problem, i'd have thought if it was an issue with google thinking we're doing something sneaky then we'd just be removed from the indexing altogether. Hmmm...

Well the obvious explanation is that you are promoting the wrong domain

Your .com is relatively unknown, though you've started promoting to some of the Irish web directories.

The .ie domain is the one that the company has owned for years and would have the most backlinks etc., and is currently showing a PR of 6.

Simple solution - stop trying to promote the .com and use a 301 redirect to push everything for the .com back to the .ie

Nope, thats out of the question. Im new to to the company as a webmaster so i dont know the history of the domains, but I do know we're set on only using the .com domain. As it is, I think the .ie domain directs to the .com domain, so switching the rediect would only further comlicate what isint a very big problem. Its impossible that our .com PR is supposed to be zero as we have hundreds of really good backlinks, including from microsoft and adobe who we're partners with. The only thing I can think of is to play the waiting game and see what happens, if there's been no offical general updating of PR then its gotta be a glitch or something, so at the moment its googles problem and not mine, we'll still get traffic as long as our index ranking is good and its as good as ever at the moment.

The .ie and .com do not redirect to each properly. They are aliased

What does that mean? Just that they're the same site with 2 different domains? Anyway im sure you'll agree that the PR will probably go back to 6 soon enough so its not worth taking any big steps such as that?
