Default So now xml sitemaps are a bad idea?

I've seen some buzz about this the last couple of days. Is it fair to assume that for now, at least, the xml sitemap pros still far outweigh the cons (and the professionals outweigh the confidence artists)?

And is the consensus on these boards that the robots.txt file is the best place to put a sitemap?

    Thanks

Yes indeed it could lead to content theft, but keeping an eye on your stats, you can easily start blocking the ip address that seems to create havoc for you.

There are lots of ways that lead to Rome cloaking is a "fix once enjoy long - time" solution.

Cloaking is a easy but dangerous way to take. I prefer the ip banning way.
