Not entirely sure how to go about asking this question and don't know if its even a question ....

I've got a domain name for arguments sake lets say .. forbairt.com ... now I haven't a chance in hell I'd say of getting forbairt.ie as its a statutory body and will no doubt be renewed ...

My forbairt.com site has a pr of 4 with google ... given I've never really done much with it in terms of optimizing it I'm quite happy with that ...

I've just acquired another domain name which is my business name for arguments sake lets call them forbairtmedia.com and forbairtmedia.ie
... I'm wondering what people would do in my case ... would they keep forbairt.com or redirect forbairt.com to forbairtmedia.ie or vice versa ... if I go about redirecting forbairt.com to forbairtmedia.ie can I assume it'll keep my page rank for the original forbairt.com site even though its now redirecting to the .ie ? ... (yes I realise forbairtmedia wouldn't have a page rank initially)

I think .. for the irish market its best to have a .ie ... gives some level of trust to the site ...

I think this has come up a couple of times in the past...
