Default Gs' Irish Directory Guidelines

1. On a .ie/Irish hosted
2. Paid and free listings
3. "Bespoke" categories
4. Links are "clean"
5. No multiple listings
6. Title = name
7. Description is original
8. Link to home page only
9. No "sponsored" listings
10. No Ad Sense
11. No link exchange requirement
12. No empty categories
13. "Moderate" promotion

Of course the G in question may not necessarily be Google :-)

haha yeah I wondered about 1, 10 and 9.. 12 would mean you couldn't (under those other G's guidelines) have a directory site up that is "under construction", and that would be evil.

Must say directories frustrate me, on the one hand they could be an incredibly useful resource to both G and SEOs but their owners seem unable to either see the big picture or take a long-term view :-(

IMO there's a bright and profitable future for any "proper" Irish directory....
