| A bit off topic - but PR - I am left wondering what is the point. In the recent update I had a site which has only an index page and one sentence on the page get a PR3 -there is nothing there!!! By the way I like your site design Kjt.

| I don't beleive in PR myself, but is good for users more than anything else. PR is more like - "Look at my site! Has PR*" |

| It will indeed lose PR if you change it. AS Louie said, you'll need to 301 it but it will still not show any PR until the next export. I prefer to create URLs as directory names, ie: www.domain.com/page-name/ If you change the language of the CMS or change the extension you're still golden. And you don't believe in PageRank? You don't believe in it's existence? |

| Actually some of the stuff I'm working with leads me to believe that Google has become very good at figuring out index.xxx pages. You might find that PR will indeed be applied to the correct page even after changing over. Of course you wont be able to tell from the toolbar as that data is only exported ever blue moon. I wouldn't rely on it though - as with so many things SEO 'it all depends'. Best bet is 301.
