Default Redirecting multiple domains to one site

If you are developing a site, and have alot of product keyword domains (70) and typo domains (20) which are related to main domain, is it safe to 301 the lot to main site? or is it better to 301 all to one sacrificial domain and then 301 that domain to the main site? could site be penalised for such a large number of domains redirecting?
Thanks

I'd 301 the lot to the main site IF they're all getting traffic etc.,

the product domains - are they always going to point to the main site or is it possible they might be product specific sites or pages?

Thanks blacknight, apologies for posting to wrong forum, they are currently parked and have traffic, I had considered developing some as product specific sites with a visible link somewhere on page to main website but thought I might be accused by competitor of having doorway pages etc.
