| I switched my domain name for one of my sites from blaa-blaa.com to blaa.ie a good while back... probably 4 months ago. But look at the following results when i check to see what google has indexed from my site site:http://www.blaa-blaa.com - Google Search vs site:http://www.blaa.ie - Google Search The only active part of the domain is the forum as the site is still in development. What are the reasons for the big drop? I've only actually started doing some SEO related stuff to the forum in the past month but the original domain seems to be top of the search! The site is one year old btw. |

| Google is doing something lately, cause some of my sites are showing different result all the time. For instance last week I had (let say) 1000 pages This week Google shows only 250. In your case both domains are different so the result will be as well.

| site:http://www.blaa-blaa.com - Google Search all these results are supplementals - bascially Google doesn't trust these so much (which is right as the pages dont exist anymore) and has relegated them to the sups site:http://www.blaa.ie - Google Search Google seems to be slowly crawling your new forum. It can take time and you only seem to have backlinks to www.blah.ie from Peoples Republic Of Cork :: PeoplesRepublicOfCork.com. A few more links and Google might start to crawl a bit quicker. As louis says the site: operator can be a tad unpredictable depending on Google's mood. You have the same content on www.blah.ie as blah-blah.com - could be a bit of dupe content penalty also there. You might just want to set up a 301 redirect from blah-blah to blah. This will tell Google that blah is the new bla-blah (so to speak Quote:
2. What did you do? Did it involve rewriting the page URLs? Sorry, silly question How did you rewrte the URLs and did you set up redirects from the old pages to the new?

| Apologies. Misunderstood. However in the eyes of the SE's blah-balh.com and blah.ie are both accessible and appear to be different sites with duplicate content. |
