 Sitemaps Is a public site map that is viewable from your sites main page as affective as Creating a Sitemap based on the Sitemap protocol ? What do you think?         |

| The SiteMap protocol (XML) is more for search engines why the public sitemap is made for easy navigation purposes and sometimes is limited.

| two different purposes ... One is a common format (mostly common) given to search engines to tell them of the pages in your website in case some are not directly accessible .. also tells them how much weight to put on certain pages and so on .. The other is for human readers basically ... allowing them to see at a glance all of your websites pages / sections Ideally you should have both

| Indeed. I think its always helpful to have a sitemap that guides people around your site and then one that guides search engines around your site. I have found this website pretty decent when it comes to generating sitemaps; Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator Hope its of use. |
