Default Analytics Issues - New Profile?
We've been having serious issues with Analytics only reporting a tiny fraction of our website visitors

Would creating a completely new profile work? ie. solve the issue once and for all?

Also, can anyone recommend an analytics person - I want to sort out some niggly issues and I suspect someone "with a clue" will be able to do it a lot faster than I can ...

What are you using to compare the stats ? GA filters out bots/spiders and only counts real visitors AFAIK.

I wouldnt have thought a new profile would help. You could try swapping the tracking code from the old urchin to new version to see if it makes a difference. Its probably the first thing I'd try.

I've already tried changing the code around - it makes no difference

Comparing stats with both Awstats + livechat + sales

ie. Google reports 5 visitors BUT we somehow make 20 sales from 20 different people (figures for illustrative purposes only)

AWstats shows three times as many page views as Google Analytics on my site. I always presumed that AWstats was just too high.
