Default 3 way linking?

hxxp://www.one-way-links.com

What do you think?

Anyone used them?

I see one of my competitors in one of the pods and they do really well on the serps.

Is this against guidelines?

Is it trackable?

Is it unethical?

Gavin has a spectacular aura about
Default

The fact they go out of their way to form some sort of linkage method and discuss PageRank would be enough for me to stay away.

Taking a poke around their clients I can see a trend, the same non-relevant sites linking to each other.

I wouldn't risk it.

Default Indeed

Indeed, they talk about "the falacy" of relvent links.

I have a client who is using them, and I'm worried it may not be a great idea...

Default I know of someone doing this...

I know of someone who has done this in Australia, they are a reputable search marketing firm and it has been working for them.

I myself would avoid it, but I don't think Google has caught up with a fix for this one yet. Not like they did with recipricol links.

I don't want to name this person in public, but if anyone has a way of checking or has ideas on how they are ranking so well I'd be interested to discuss it further. Preferably through PM.
