| Had a discussion with a guy last night about a technique called "web ghosting" which basically as described to me means buying up similar domains and linking back to a main one. To me it seems kind of a black hat technique, how is this viewed?? |

| I'm sure it's viewed as black hat but i don't really see the difference in doing something like this as opposed to just buying links from another site that you don't own. It's basically the same thing. Just depends on weather you view buying links in general as black hat. It does seem like an expensive enough way of getting links to you though. Any cheap sites you buy the links will probably be next to useless. If you buy a decent site you would probably need to work on that a bit further than just adding a link to your site to make it worthwhile... which is extra work. If you do go ahead with it though i'd make sure to have different info on your whois |
