 How soon is too soon to submit to a directory Hi, Just wondering your thoughts on the following. I am in the home stretch designing a website. My question is "when is too soon to start submitting the website name to directories". Can I start now even though I am still amassing content for the site and it wont go live for 4 weeks? thoughts & thx Tim         |

| When submitting to directories, you have a 30/70 % chances of being approved so is better to have the website ready before you make a move.

| A lot of directories are manually edited, so they won't accept "holding pages" or "coming soon" - of course if they have a backlog they might not get to your site until it's live

| Never submit a site that appears to be under construction, don't submit if you have any pages that are BLANK or any words on your site such as "Coming Soon" or "Under Construction". |

| Most directory owners will check your homepage and little more. But if I were you I'd actually look at building a few high quality links before you go hitting up the directories. Can make a lot of difference to the speed within you'll achieve good rankings
