| If you are finished with your on-page optimization than yes it is worth the time, but don't be a drive-by user. Do not confuse forums and blogs to McDonald drive-in...

 Rant mode on! This is one thing I don't like about the web world, this obsession with generating inbound links with total disregard to the blogs and forums that are targetted. People like to visit sites, blogs forums etc that add value to the topic, nothing more frustrating than clicking on a link that brings you to an unrelated site or having some idiotic site appear top of search results just because the site has gamed the system well. Adding links to relevant forums & blogs through posts/comments adds value both to the forum/blog and raises your authority, adding to irrelevant ones has the potential to reduce it. |

| No follow links I've just made a trial purchase of VBSEO in recent weeks for one of my Forum siteswhich is now a PR 4. One of the features on VBSEO is the ability to make all links in the forums no follow. Another (seemingly cool - but we'll wait and see) feature is one that converts the dynamic link urls into urls containing key words from the thread title. Any one else here using VBSEO for longer than me ? Stuart |
