    Default Paid Directories?

    Hi guys,
I am looking at directories with high PR 3 - 6

I notice the PR does not follow through to the links pages. Is it still worth buying paid links from a PR5 or 6 site if their links pages have no PR? I wouldnt think so but then again... ?

There are quite a few free ones
I plan to do all of those and previously I was looking at their paid directory list. I was going to buy them all starting with the PR6 and go down as far as PR 3 perhaps... what do you think?

    Thanks for the response

my advie is to steer well away from paid directories, they are motivated by money and would not think twice about selling out and trashing your link value

There are many niche and general quality directories that charge for a listing, it does cost time and money to run these things after all.

I would advise against paid link directories. The SEs don't approve very much and it could be a waste of your money. I've seen people mention that they wasted money on paid directories on different forums - although it could depend on the directory as well.

A lot of people forget how much time managing human edited directories takes.

I've been very tempted to charge for submissions to some of the ones I run just to stop the amount of junk being submitted. Even if the fee was only a couple of euro it would dissuade a lot of the rubbish submissions
