Default Blogger Mirror Site

Hey all,

Just looking to work on some link building and general SEO and was thinking that if I create a free blogger account (as well as using other free blogs) and getting that blog to mirror the posts on my actual site, it might help my seo.

After a little poking around with a new blogger account/blog I've failed to find a way to achieve this...any suggestions?

Regards,
Davthalas

I would be worried about duplicate content if I was you.

Well I had noticed a few of the 'regulars' around here are doing something similiar, but on second thoughts it might not be such a good idea, I may just focus on gettings entries in social bookmarking sites instead

you can create a blog and post your signature link there but better not to post duplicate content.

For links to mean anything they have to come from something worthwhile and there are lots of cases where a blog matches a website well and where it's pure spam.

Blogs become popular through readership and that means having a blog that has a unique view, angle or content that people are interested in, want to subscribe to and maybe also share.

So you will have to promote your blog too and people don't read blogs full of spam.

If you were say working in tourism body in Ireland, you could keep a blog of events that are happening (such as golf compeititions etc).

Some people work in one industry and blog about something different. The blog becomes highly popular and this can provide traffic to the website.

Google values links because links send people from one website to another.

Google gives good insight into this and PageRank here:

Quote:
4. Democracy on the web works.
Google works because it relies on the millions of individuals posting websites to determine which other sites offer content of value. Instead of relying on a group of editors or solely on the frequency with which certain terms appear, Google ranks every web page using a breakthrough technique called PageRank™. PageRank evaluates all of the sites linking to a web page and assigns them a value, based in part on the sites linking to them. By analyzing the full structure of the web, Google is able to determine which sites have been "voted" the best sources of information by those most interested in the information they offer. This technique actually improves as the web gets bigger, as each new site is another point of information and another vote to be counted.
