    Default Google And Javascript

    I heard Google might after all be able to see certain simple Javascript and index it so I'm thinking of doing the following:

    Adding the code below to the footers of all the sites I build:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.mysite.ie/myscript.js"> </script>

    This links to a javascript file on my site which has 1 simple line like the one below:

    document.write("Site by <a href='http://www.mysite.ie'>My Web Design Company</a>");

    Question is, will Google be able to see this link back to my site and give me some respect!?

    They might see it if it is inline, but they wont give it any weight AFAIK.
    In terms of what they crawl via JS - they may crawl anything they see that looks like a valid URL. But that doesn't mean they'll value the link.

    Right thanx.

    I suppose another question I could ask is is it actually wise for a web designer to put the same anchor link text in all his sites? Might this be considered cheating by Google?

    Might be better off if they don't pay much attention to my javascript links!?
