 Signatures I notice a lot of people have very targeted keywordy signatures for obvious SEO reasons. Is this generally working for them? I recall an earlier conversation about the efficacy of this.

| Well, first of all: link:www.edenweb.ie - Google Search Second of all, I am not here long enough or have enough posts to see any effect yet. SEO takes time. A long time. From other forums that I am a member of, yes. I ca say it works. It would not be my number one method of SEO, but it does help. |

| I agree with louie 'every little helps' tagline. It is a little benefit I believe, particularly in the small irish market where other competitors might not have any keyword rich backlinks. Can Google tell if a forum is a forum? Boards that use modrewrite to turn dynamic pages into static .html would give the best benefit I imagine. I would like to see vbseo include a bit of logic whereby a persons signature could be alernatied between two different ones, to make links from a single forum/domain look a bit more natural. |
